Episcia Degas (Gesneriasceae)

A powerful showy plant with large emerald green leaves and mother-of-pearl veins. Young leaves are slightly pubescent, adults are almost hairless. Depending on the lighting, the leaves become olive brown in places with contrasting light green pearl veins. Red-scarlet flowers with a yellow throat.
